I want to be shocked — how can that be? — but then think of the self-selecting groups one sees in public spaces, and it’s lack of diversity in so many other ways. How much gender diversity is obvious (in the US, that often means white/black, not white/black/asian/indian/middle eastern, etc), and generational diversity is pretty low, too.
