… as a ‘step’ in the design process and start seeing it as an integral ‘part’ of the design process. Not sure if this makes sense, but it sounds smart and three is a great number of bullet points to have.

It makes so much sense. Design is a framework for the delivery of content. Content has to be at the centre of the process or the whole thing doesn’t make sense.
